Bespoke Active launch with a joint article in the Western Telegraph along side Pembrokeshire Bikes: -

YES, it’s that time of year again when we resolve to do something healthy and improve our fitness levels.

We are, though, all too familiar with the story where we start off with the best intentions and then get side tracked for a whole variety of reasons such as; not knowing where to begin, being unsure of what we should and shouldn’t be doing or we go to the gym and don’t know anybody. So, all too soon, we become disillusioned and give up.

I bought a bike from the boys at Pembrokeshire Bikes last year and thought I’d have some coaching to help me get the most out of it. I was surprised at how easy it was to get started, Peter and Carlos talked me through the process in a friendly manner and I took a simple fitness test in the shop. I’ve been to the cycling group a few times, it’s great fun, with a relaxed atmosphere and the advice I’ve received on food and exercise has really helped me to improve. I am just about to undergo my second appraisal and I feel much fitter and more confident riding my bike.

Bespoke Active and Pembrokeshire Bikes aim to support you as an individual or in a group, to achieve your ambitions and goals, whether that’s to join a club, accomplish an event like a triathlon, cycling sportive or running race or simply to start feeling fitter, more alive and confident. The programmes they set are nicely structured to reflect your individual needs and will be developed with you following a well put together health and fitness interview with assessment and, because it’s tailored to your needs, it fits in with your available free time and budget. Their philosophy is to ensure that your plan is as individual as you. Peter and Carlos work with you and they support and encourage you to achieve your individual fitness and health goals by coaching and guiding you through a structured programme. You can keep in touch with them by meeting up, using Skype, the telephone or email.

You carry out your programme working alone, one to one or in a group and, whichever you choose, the boys will make sure it’s fun and you don’t feel isolated. You will be able to share your experiences and learn from others on a weekly or monthly basis.

Having coaching helped me to become a better skier and made it more enjoyable and even though I’ve ridden a bike for years, it’s been the same with my cycling. Get started today by giving them a ring, I did and I haven’t looked back.
